Two pieces: the Android app, and — for the carry terminal path — the daemon on the machine you want to reach. The collab path needs only omp on the host.
How builds are shared
Carry is a private project. There is no store listing and no public download. Ask for a build and you get two things:
- the Android app — a signed release APK, arm64-v8a. It is standalone: no Expo Go, no Metro server, nothing to keep running on your desktop.
- the
carrydaemon — one Rust binary that contains both the daemon and itssessioncommands. You only need this for the terminal path.
Install the APK with adb install -r carry.apk, or by opening the file on the phone.
What each side needs
| Where | Needs |
|---|---|
| The phone | Android. The app is the only thing you install there. |
| The host, for the omp collab path | omp running, and the session shared with /collab or collab.autoStart. Nothing else. |
| The host, for the carry terminal path | The carry binary, run as carry start. No inbound ports and no firewall changes: it dials out over QUIC. |
Continue with Getting started — it assumes you have the app and, if you want the second path, the daemon.
